The Fiestas de San Pacho, celebrated every year in Chocó, have been declared cultural and intangible heritage of humanity. This is why it is essential, within a quality education, to recognize the cultural traditions of the community itself.
Students from the preschool grade of the Quibdó school had a special date with the Chocoan culture, participating in the celebration of the San Pacho festivities.
The celebration of the little ones is called "San Pachito". In this celebration the children of the lower grades of the schools of Quibdó are the protagonists. The objective of the activities is to motivate the students to take ownership of their Chocoan culture.
Likewise, students from the dance group of the María Berchmans school, teachers and directors of the Antonio Ricaurte school, together with volunteers from the Pies Descalzos Foundation participated in the parade of myths and legends, where to the sound of chirimia they toured the entire Franciscan Route, that is, visiting the twelve traditional Franciscan neighborhoods.
We believe that commemorating traditions is also a meaningful way to educate. Therefore, thanks to all the teaching staff who made this activity possible.
