When you combine the desire to help with the knowledge and conviction to have a better future for the whole world, great things are definitely achieved.
Young people from more than 120 countries came to the city of Cartagena to share in the World's Largest Lesson workshop, a day of education on the Sustainable Development Goals, created by UNICEF and Project Everyone to engage students and teachers in development around the world.
In alliance with AIESEC, the young participants of the Global YouthSpeak Forum* visited different schools in Cartagena with the objective of raising awareness among students as citizens of the world through knowledge and understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The central axis of the activity was based on the reflection of the students on their local environment and the main problems that affect it; in order to generate a space where the students recognized their commitments as individuals who are part of a society that has peace as one of its pillars of coexistence.
Itis a space where young people from different countries meet to listen to leaders who inspire us to believe in change; it is also a space for the presentation of projects that promote one of the Sustainable Development Goals. For this version, held in Cartagena, the main objective was number 4: "High Quality Education.
High Quality Education is our fundamental pillar, because at Pies Descalzos we defend education as a fundamental right to which everyone can have access.
