What is the context?

Chocó is one of the departments most affected by the passage of the war in Colombia. With a high percentage of displaced, vulnerable and unemployed people, this region is crying out for all of us to build a different future for its inhabitants.

Now, the Sports Schools for Peace Program - ESDEPAZ is a meeting, participation and training scenario for the social inclusion of boys and girls, where the development of competencies and skills for life is promoted through sports practice.

Likewise, at Pies Descalzos we believe in quality public education, that is why within our educational model, art, sports and culture play a very important role, being these present in our "Tools for Life" axis.

We have developed together with ESDEPAZ educational activities in reading, writing, mathematics, ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies), micro soccer, competitive races and games. Children from Quibdó - Chocó, have been able to enjoy all the moments and learning previously mentioned.

These spaces would not be possible without the help of volunteers and tutors who come together to build a quality education, a better society and a different future. Let's continue working as a team so that all children have access to spaces of care, learning and growth.
