The Barefoot Foundation develops the My Life Project, aimed at providing students in their final years with life skills that will allow them to make conscious decisions that will guide the self-construction of their future and their role in different environments.
In this way, students are accompanied so that they can identify their qualities and abilities in order to guide their vocational projection for higher education.
In the development of the project, contact is generated with both academic and business entities, so that students can have a direct experience with the training areas that exist in the university field. In this way we seek that students can define with greater certainty their professional preferences.
The Santa Clara Hotel, an ally of the Barefoot Foundation, has opened its doors for students to interact directly with the service areas offered by the tourism sector, such as reception, table and bar, waiters, kitchen, pastry, bakery, maintenance, among others.
The students got to know the different areas of the hotel, walking through the historical richness of each corner of this place. Workers from different areas shared their experience and their work, guiding the students in their decision about the career that best suits their interests or purposes.
This meeting was very significant for the students, who showed their motivation towards certain careers from these spaces and the learning obtained. We thank the Hotel Santa Clara for opening the doors for the benefit of quality education.
