Caring for the nutrition of children is one of the objectives that has always been present in our Intervention Model. That is why, together with Oma and Nu3 Foundation, we support the nutritional recovery of the population in vulnerable conditions in the department of La Guajira.

The social and economic reality of La Guajira is well known to Colombians. The deaths of children associated with malnutrition are a worrying problem for the country; and also for us as a Foundation.

How will the project work?

This project will benefit 300 children between 0 and 5 years of age, who are in inadequate nutritional conditions, or at risk of being so. The process will also include pregnant and lactating mothers living in Uribia, La Guajira, who are underweight.

The intervention will work with mothers and/or caregivers in the preparation of the multivitamin supplement called VITAMEAL. Three nutritional assessments are performed during the year, as well as prevention and health promotion workshops and nutritional education.

Thus we want to respond to the need to promote actions to ensure a healthy and protected childhood. Contributing to the reduction of child malnutrition and low breastfeeding rates; for the development of the country.

We know that this project requires a joint effort and all possible efforts; that is why we thank OMA and Nu3 Foundation for joining this cause.
