"Skin Colors", a campaign that seeks to make visible all skin tones in the world.

At the Barefoot Foundation, we launched the "Skin Colors" project, seeking that children recognize through a color box that skin color is not only the pink that is universally known, but all the shades of yellow, pink, brown and black that are present in the skin of all human beings.

 How does the project work?

Through a booklet entitled Lupe and Rinoberta, students are immersed in a journey with the characters of the story, through which they get to know people, customs and places from all over the planet. Within the booklet, children are encouraged to color the faces of the characters with the color corresponding to the type of culture or place to which they belong.

Special Thanks

Libros y Libros joins the Colores Piel initiative by donating a total of 3,020 Lupe and Rinoberta primers; primers that were delivered to the children of the schools we support and with which the students will learn in a didactic way that skin color is the color of all, that we are all equal and that to build a country in peace we must begin to understand and apply respect for difference in all aspects of our lives.

For the year 2018 we hope to launch the second edition of this project which will be titled "Gonzalo y Manuela", this story will be about a trip that will take place only in Colombia and will be aimed at high school children.
