After months of preparation, more than 300 students, 30 parents, academic coordinators, dozens of teachers and a great desire to remember what it means to be from Barranquilla and to be part of Pies Descalzos; this is how the Carnival began at Pies Descalzos Barranquilla School.

In a tour full of music, dance and colors, the students filled the community with joy. Pie latino senior and junior were the sensation: Volvió Juanita, Tamarindo seco, La Guacherna, among other representative songs, brightened up the tour that the educational community made through the streets of La Playa, sector where the Pies Descalzos school is located.

‍Whoparticipated?

The rector, academic coordinators, teachers and parents were fully involved in the activity. Not only did they dedicate much of their time and energy to taking care of the kids, but they also participated in the comparsa as well. Joy and cornstarch were flying everywhere as well as the photographs that are now witness to the colors and smiles that adorned the streets of this township that was dressed in carnival style.

The Pies Descalzos School was a great success in the 2019 carnival and even though this year's carnival is not over yet, mothers, teachers and students are already rethinking the route for 2020.
