Fundación Pies Descalzos and Watson Marlow join forces within the framework of the Young Entrepreneurs program, to benefit students from 4 schools in the city of Cartagena, and awaken entrepreneurial initiative in them.
The program, which is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promotes transdisciplinary learning, allowing young people to learn about different subjects through the projects they develop.
Watson MarlowWatson Marlow, aware of the importance of education and the development of entrepreneurial skills from an early age, has made a donation of £20,000 to the Foundation's program through the Spirax-Sarco Engineering Group Education Fund. This contribution will enable the program to expand its reach and empower more young people in the Caribbean region.
For its part, the Young Entrepreneurspromoted by the Pies Descalzos Foundation, uses a participatory and cooperative methodology based on Project Based Learning (PBL), so that young people awaken their entrepreneurial spirit and, above all, keep in mind the importance of creating impact solutions that promote the development of their communities.
The gender approach is a cornerstone of the program, providing key opportunities for girls and adolescents. These young entrepreneurs find in the program a platform to understand and use innovative methodologies in the construction of their life projects in their communities.
Regarding this collaboration, Patricia Sierra, executive director of the Pies Descalzos Foundation said:
"I welcome new partnerships like the one we forged with Watson Marlow in our Jóvenes Emprendedores program. Their generous donation and commitment to education will strengthen our positive impact on the lives of Cartagena's youth, enabling them to develop essential skills for a sustainable future."
Watson Marlow, through this partnership, reinforces its commitment to social responsibility and the education of future generations, demonstrating that collaboration between the private sector and non-profit organizations can create a lasting impact on communities.
The Barefoot Foundation and Watson Marlow invite the community to follow closely the progress and achievements of this initiative that seeks to build a promising future for young entrepreneurs in Cartagena.
