At the Barefoot Foundation we believe that leadership training enhances the learning processes of students. Not only in the now and the immediacy of the project, but in the future life of each of the young people. We believe that by developing their leadership skills, they will have more tools to take on work, social and even family challenges.
This year we began an important alliance with the Metropolitan University, which seeks to implement the Metropies Leadership School with the students of the IED Fundación Pies Descalzos - La Playa, to strengthen the construction of the notion of citizenship, in addition to the appropriation of the problems of the community, thus forging a sense of community belonging and confidence in new leaders.
In recent days, a rally was held as the opening event of this project. During this activity, multiple recreational and reflective exercises were carried out that revolved around leadership: what it is, why it is important and how to be a good leader. Games of strategy, communication, trust, cooperation, agility and teamwork were part of the program.
We also believe in opportunities; we believe that if every girl and boy has the possibility of accessing a quality education, they will be able to compete equally in their youth and adulthood. Therefore, for us it is essential to create and implement projects that promote the necessary skills in the life of a human being, especially in social and working life. We want our students to be those leaders who will change the world tomorrow.
